Project: "Climate Change Vulnerability, Huila Plan 2050"
4D Elements Consultants performed a vulnerability analysis for the state of Huila, which had the municipalities as the unit of analysis, providing the integration of abiotic, biotic and socioeconomic information. To project the climate change vulnerability of the 37 towns in the study, a conceptual and methodological proposal was implemented, following the concepts and guidelines adopted by the Intergovernmental Plan on Climate Change (IPCC), which states that exposure, sensitivity and adaptability are the components which determine the vulnerability of a territory. Placing an emphasis on information regarding the characterization of potential impacts and adaptive capacity, and as a result, methodology sheets were created to help optimize the decision-making progress, as well as the assessment, understanding and characterization of this territory.
