Project: "The design of a conceptual and methodological framework for the creation of the main ecological structure in the basin of the Colombian Orinoco."

4D Elements Consultants developed a function–based methodology that helps identify, monitor and define the components, processes, services, satellite imaging and all that pertains to biodiversity on an ecosystem level, which should be taken into account for the definition and identification of the ecological structure, regionally and territorially. Regulations, definitions of main ecological structure and ecosystem services were taken into account in order to develop the methodology; as a result, the calculation of the indicators for each category was made. Finally, the pattern and the processes for the design of the strategy and its implementation were evaluated, as well as the assessment of the activities undertaken within the EEP and their implementation in Colombia, and especially in the Orinoco Region.
